Employee Interviews

Thank you for your interest in the i2i Employee Interviews. We are looking to interview employed, self-employed and unemployed people living with episodic disability in Ontario about your experiences with episodic disability and work.

Interviews are anonymous, private and confidential. They may be done in person, on a video call, or over the phone. The interview may take about 60 to 90 minutes to complete though the length of the interview will depend on how much you wish to share, which is entirely up to you. You will have the option to skip any question you do not feel comfortable answering and to end the interview at any time.

The purpose of the interviews
The interviews explore how people with ED’s are being accommodated in Ontario workplaces – specifically what is being done and what can be done to better support the differing needs of people with EDs. We will use this info to identify what policies and practices lead to more successful outcomes when accommodating people with EDs in the workplace.

Topics we will ask about in the interview
• The impact of your disability: How does your ED impact your experiences at work?
• Your experience of disclosure, stigma and trust: When and why do you choose to disclose your health
condition? What have your experiences been with disclosure? Do you fear or experience stigma?
• Workplace accommodations and self-accommodation: How are you being accommodated in the workplace?
• Recommendations for changes to policy and programs: What changes would you like to see in your workplace?

Compensation
You will be compensated with $20.00 cash for your interview.
